The 2022 Swim and Dive season has three home meets and two away meets. (See the Swim and Dive Schedule above). All diving meets are held on Friday evenings, and swimming meets are Saturday mornings. The dual meet season culminates at the end of six weeks with a WISC, the “Washtenaw Inter-club Swim Conference” Championship. Each individual swimmer/diver may compete in the Championship if s/he has competed in 2 dual meets during the season. WISC Championships do not have time cut offs. Everyone is encouraged to participate! There will be a special award for championship participation.
Swim and Dive Team
Home of the Raccoons
The swimming and diving team is available to all Racquet Club members under 18. RC Swim and Dive has a wonderful history and great tradition. Our mission is to instill the love of swimming and diving, teach excellent skills and sportsmanship, and encourage team camaraderie.
We hope that you will support your kids in our mission and be involved with the program in any way you can. RC Swim and Dive relies on parent participation to make everything work. It is expected that if you have a child on the team you will volunteer to help out along the way. There are plenty of ways to volunteer; helping out with meets, Fun Fridays, and special events, to name a few. Do not worry, it’s a fun and a great way to meet other parents and the kids from RC! Thank you!
If you are new to the Swim & Dive team, or would like a refresher, we are having an informational meeting just for you! Join us on Tuesday, June 14th from 6-7 pm. This is a chance to meet the coaches, learn how meets work, and find out what is expected from parents and participants. A great opportunity to ask questions about making the most of the season!
The Racquet Club Swim/Dive Team is $200 per child and $150 for each additional child. This cost covers practices and meets. If you have a High School swimmer and/or diver, they can participate in RC dual meets and Washtenaw Interclub Swim Conference (W.I.S.C.) at NO COST.
Each Team member will receive one free swim cap, with additional caps available for purchase, and may participate in activities such as Fun Fridays, Cedar Point and an 8 & U outing as well as many other fun activities. If your child does not participate in the full season they will be prorated at $30 per practice/meet when regular season begins and is capped at the full cost of swim team ($150 – $175 or 4-6 meets/practices).
Pre-Season practices begin Tuesday, May 31st, 4:30-5:15 all age groups. Practices are held Monday-Thursday.
Regular season practices begin June 13th – July 22nd with a dual meet each weekend through Championships.

We ask all new 8 and Under swimmers to attend an evaluation day to determine their placement in swim lessons or the swim team. We will evaluating several strokes and endurance to see what the best fit is for each swimmer. We want the best experience for your swimmer. If your child is placed in lessons, they will be able to participate in swim team activities, and may be able to participate in swim meets.
We will be offering a couple days for your kids to get evaluated by our highly qualified staff. Evaluations will take place from 5:30 pm – 6:15 pm on Wednesday, June 8th and Thursday, June 9th. To sign up for a spot, please click here.
