A fun, team-oriented summer program for Racquet Club members ages 18 and under, focused on skill-building, sportsmanship, and team camaraderie.

Practice Schedule
Pre-season Practices
Pre-season practices begin Tuesday, May 26, from 4:30–5:15 pm for all age groups. Practices are held Monday through Thursday.
Regular Season Practices
Regular season practices begin June 15 and run through July 17, with dual meets each weekend through Championships.
Championships take place July 20–23, followed by the banquet on July 24.

Note: Families seeking group or private lessons should visit our lessons page. Swimmers who cannot yet swim the length of the pool, or who are determined to be lesson candidates, may be directed there.
Meets and Championships
The 2026 Swim and Dive season includes three away meets and two home meets.
- Diving meets are held on Friday evenings.
- Swimming meets are held on Saturday mornings; July 4th meet will be Thur. evening, July 2nd
- WISC schedules can be found on the WISC Website.
The dual meet season concludes with the WISC Championship, the Washtenaw Inter-club Swim Conference Championship.
Each swimmer or diver may compete in Championships if they have participated in two dual meets during the season. There are no time cutoffs for WISC Championships, and all swimmers and divers are encouraged to participate.

New Swimmer, 8 & Under Evaluations
- Attend the New Member Event to meet coaches and ask questions.
- Stop by during pre-season practices to get familiar with the program.

- New 8 & Under swimmers should attend evaluations to determine whether swim lessons or swim team is the best fit.
We ask all new 8 & Under swimmers to attend an evaluation day so our staff can assess strokes and endurance and help place each swimmer in the setting where they will have the best experience.
If your child is placed in lessons, they may still be able to participate in swim team activities and possibly swim meets.
Evaluation times:

Parent Participation
RC Swim and Dive depends on parent involvement to make the season run smoothly. Families should expect to volunteer during the season, whether helping with meets, Fun Fridays, or special events. It is a fun way to support the team and meet other families.

Frequently Asked Questions
Sign up in the portal and with the online signup coming from “The Raccoon Weekly.” Then, just have your kids arrive during practice. Coaches will be at the New Member Event to answer questions. Staff will also be available throughout pre-season practices, which is a great time to meet the coaches and get familiar with the program. You can also contact us with any questions you may have.
As long as your child can swim back to the wall after jumping in, they’re ready for diving. We’ve had plenty of kids, as young as three, join. The rules are very flexible and the requirements for participation and competition are minimal.
The season includes three away meets and two home meets. Diving meets are typically Friday evenings, and swimming meets are Saturday mornings. WISC schedules can be found on the WISC Website.
